# Connecting commerce catalogs and store inventory to marketplace channels

We developed and operated product and store-inventory feeds for an enterprise retailer’s marketplace integrations. The work covered assortment rules, promotional pricing, data transformation, scheduled delivery, and rollout support, connecting Salesforce Commerce Cloud data to external channel requirements through a feed management platform.

## The challenge

An enterprise retailer needed to publish catalog and store-inventory information
to marketplace channels. Each destination required eligible products, appropriate
pricing, and usable availability data. Onboarding also needed a path for recurring
updates as catalog and inventory information changed.

## Our contribution

5PM developed and operated outbound product and store-inventory feed integrations.
We worked on assortment rules, promotional pricing, data transformation, scheduled
delivery, and rollout support. The work focused on listing and availability data.

## Integration approach

Scheduled Salesforce Commerce Cloud jobs generated CSV files for delivery through
SFTP to a feed management platform. Catalog and inventory/price feeds served distinct
needs; the feed platform supported transformation and delivery to downstream channels.

We worked on how exports represented assortment and promotional pricing so that
commerce data matched external listing requirements. Store-inventory feeds supplied
availability information for eligible locations.

Recurring jobs supported ongoing publication after initial onboarding. Rollout
support connected feed development with destination-specific requirements and
coordination across the commerce source, feed management layer, and downstream channel.

## What the work enabled

The integration provided recurring catalog and store-inventory delivery to marketplace
channels. Assortment rules, pricing, and transformations shaped the information
published downstream, making commerce data usable beyond the retailer’s storefront.
